Scratching barrels

Our scratching barrels (also called sisal barrels) are the heart of our manufactory in Itzehoe. With a diameter of 42 or 52 cm and heights from 60 to 180 cm, they offer large and heavy cats – such as Maine Coon, Ragdoll or British Shorthair – a stable retreat for scratching, climbing and sleeping.

Each cat barrel is a sturdy hardboard barrel, completely covered with sisal carpet; the interiors are lined with carpet. Choose from 6 colors and various heights – from 120 cm upwards, we recommend the optional base plate for maximum stability.

A scratching barrel combines a retreat and a scratching post in one, because cats can safely retreat into it, observe from a protected position, and at the same time care for their claws. Especially in lively households, it offers peace in a small space, without neglecting activity and exercise. The sturdy design is also suitable for large and heavy cats and comes directly from the manufacturer in Germany, so you can rely on long-lasting quality.
